Skills for Care are currently looking for experts by experience to join their Expert Advisor Group.
The Skills for Care advisory group makes sure that people have the right skills to work in social care in the United Kingdom. This can include support workers, home workers, and social workers.
The Experts advisory group is made up of people who have a learning disability and or Autism. The group works with Skills for Care and NHS England.
The Experts Advisory group can have a say in how employers:
- Plan jobs and recruit people
- train and support staff to carry out their roles
- deal with staff who aren’t working well
Meetings are held via Zoom and are on the second Monday of the Month, lasting about 2 hours. Before each meeting, you will be sent a set of questions to think about and to be discussed at the meeting.
